Wow, that's a late bloomer, but when it blooms it does it in a very large way.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day Kathe. :)
At least yours is blooming!! Mine is usually covered with blossoms, but this year has been so gray I think the cactus is confused -- the whole plant had ONE blossom!! And it's a BIG plant!! Great shadow shot for the day, Kathe! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have such cacti inside our homes - it reminds us of deserts and warm places, a sort of psychology that allows us to forget about winter - if only for a few seconds...we do watch our cat carefully as he enjoys the tasty blossoms! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteConfused but pretty! Maybe it's the weather, if your pattern is unusual right now; ours is.
ReplyDeleteAnd a very happy early Valentine's Day to you as well.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas cactus is thinking Spring!
ReplyDeleteOur Christmas cactus was full of blooms at Christmas and is still going strong now, it's amazing! I love them so much. I think yours was waiting just so it could surprise you and brighten your February days!
ReplyDeleteConfused or not, the blooms make for a wonderful treat!
ReplyDeleteAnd A Happy Valentines to you...and your cactus! (:>)
ReplyDeleteHave a good Saturday!

Confused but beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend. ☺
Plants are doing some strange things in my world of the peninsula too! This one is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFunny thing is, mine did the same thing this year! I had two blossoms at Christmas, now have lots more. An early Easter cactus instead? Confused!
ReplyDeleteI think most nature is confused by the weather...people, too.
ReplyDeleteIt might be confused but it looks fabulous! I am jealous! I have tried and tried to grow those and I kill them every time!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week!
Lovely shot ~ I think all of Nature including humans are confused! We just had a blizzard!
ReplyDeleteCarol from (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
