Wow! This morning at 7:15 am we saw our
first Bob Cat on our property! Russell tried
to snap a photo, but his camera battery was dead...dang!
So here's a photo I pulled off the internet- next time
all batteries will be charged. Seeing this beautiful
animal explains why we haven't seen any Jack rabbits
or Cottontail bunnies for awhile.
Rabbits are the Bob Cats favorite meal....
That's beautiful!! I've read that those are very difficult to spot in the wild. Awesome shot!!
ReplyDeleteI think Bobcats are awesome to see at a distance just as I think Cottontail rabbits are adorable in my neighbor's yard.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sight! #2 Son has seen a coyote around here, but nothing bigger than a house cat from the feline world threatens the small fauna around here.
ReplyDeleteWe have never seen them here but I am pretty sure we heard one! They sound bizarre and really creepy when you are alone in a dark at three am. Needless to say after that sound I did not let the dog out! JJ laughed at me then had his own run in a few evenings later in the driveway. I had the last laugh! The neighbors spotted him earlier that day!
ReplyDeleteHope you marmalade turned out yummy!
XOXO Beth
Wow...that is so terrible that you guys couldn't get a picture. But you know now that he's there.
ReplyDeleteBobcats are territorial and he/she will stay in their territory until killed. I think their range is 10 miles. I can't remember right now.
As for the linky the red x shows up by name too. I think it does that for a while. Or, it may always do it on your name and not anyone else's. It probably is a way for InLinkz to keep up with something.
So please by all means do copy the code and add it. We are all itching to get more people doing Feline Friday!
It doesn't have to be bobcats either. It doesn't even have to be a picture you have taken. It just needs to be feline!
Thanks for stopping by. I am more nervous now after the picture you posted! They are bigger than most people think and certainly dangerous.
I hope you get your linky up and happy FF! :-)
