Helping hands

Little hands
Helped to make this years
Strawberry jam
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To make excellent jam- you need a lemon or two
and who cares about making a mess when you
are making a memory and yummy jam!
Writing silly poems does tickle my funny bone....
I saw that little mouse....oh what a louse!
He scampered all over and through our house
So we caught it one day
Ah ha!
In the midst of play
And now it's only a dormouse
Bifocal Univision Monday Photo Prompt
Hot Dawg
Yikes hot sand
My dawgs aren't cool
Hot sand makes my dawgs so hot
So, where's the pool?
Earthshaking News
There once was a lass named Rachel-a
Who could make one's life a living hell-a
Until the day
When the earth did sway
And changed her into an Angel-a
I wrote and posted this limerick prior to
hearing about the devastating earthquake
in New Zealand.
Having been in earthquakes myself, I do
not take them lightly. My heartfelt sympathies
and love go out to all New Zealanders
Happy Pie Day-Happy Poetry Potluck!
Happy Pie Day
The scent of apples
Fills the neighborhood
Evokes cinnamon memories
Of mothers and apple pies
And childhood times gone by
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A smile a day keeps the blues away
Mom and Apple pie can do the same
~~~~~~~~~~~
Could not resist putting this smirky face on the pie!
Have a great week!
Imagination in a Shaker of Salt
I see you Lucy
Your topaz eyes and
Mischievious nose
Your tail whisking back and forth
Just what will you do now?
Our Lucy has been a mover and shaker since
agreeing to live with us.
Love, Bonds and Relationships
To My Best Pal
Life with you
Is a happy adventure
A lovely life
The first photo is of Russell and me crossing
the Brooklyn Bridge last June.
We were there to visit Grace and Radu and to explore New York.
I was born in Brooklyn, but wasn't raised there. This was the first
time I had been back to Brooklyn since I was an infant. Neither one
of us had ever walked across this bridge before.
The second photo is of Russell and me crossing the Golden Gate Bridge
for the first time last April. We had taken the ferry from Sausalito
to San Francisco and had wandered down to Little Italy
for a wonderful 20th anniversary lunch.
When were about done with lunch I said
"Why don't we just walk home?"
So we did! It took us 3 hours and about 12 miles later we arrived
back at my cousins house! We'll be down there again this year for our
anniversary...and who knows maybe we'll cross that bridge again!
Happy Valentines Day!
I want to be a cat...
Oh to be a cat....
just think of that!
Sleeping on whatever pleases
while dreaming of tasty meeses.
Carelessly shedding furry hairs
and lounging on the sunny stairs
No chores for me-no siree
my life is aimless- so carefree
To be a cat would be a laugh
No bosses here- as I have staff !!
Magpie Tales #51
Cold bricks wait
Silently for the suns warmth
Spring begins
OR
Poor Dorothy was caught in a twister
Mixed it up with a nasty old sister
Slower than molasses
She couldn't find Kansas
Let alone the brick road- she missed 'er
