Lucy loves playing on her new cat tree.

After more than 10 years we

needed to replace the old cat tree.

She literally wore it out.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions. If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are my answers to this weeks questions:

 1. I didn't eat liver until I lived in Spain.
 2. I try to be patient but it doesn't always work!
3. My fear of heights keeps me from bungee jumping.
4. If I were a ghost, I would haunt crooked politicians.
( that would keep a lot of ghosts busy..bwa hahah)

Thankful Thursday October 24, 2019

It's only been 2 weeks since Russell had his

very serious surgery. And look at him today!

He's sitting with Armando a good friend of ours

and you can see how well he feels!

Amazing man of mine!

Just proves that if you take care of

your body, your body will take care of you.

Russell has made an amazing recovery in large

part due to his working out 2-3 times a week

 for years and years! Yay for Russell.

The physical therapist came today to see

how Russell has been doing and he said

"You don't need me any more!"

Tomorrow he has an appointment with the

surgeon and we shall see what he thinks.

I am so thankful for the care Russell got 

from all the dedicated people who helped

Russell be where he is today!

Feline Friday October 18, 2019

A little over a week ago Russell woke up

in the middle of night in a lot of pain.

He tried laying on the couch downstairs,

but then all of a sudden his left side became

paralyzed and I immediately called 911.

I won't go into the grisly details, but after

some serious surgery and a few recuperative 

days in the hospital Russell is back home and

will have home health care for a few weeks. 

The paralysis disappeared quickly after

the surgery and Russell is making amazing

 progress and the doctors have assured us 

that he will make 100% recovery!

Lucy the Cat is now referred to as Nurse Lucy

as she has been very attentive and loving

towards Russell. She knows how to show her love.

Just look at her!  Such a great cat!         

"Nurse Lucy" takes her responsibilities

very seriously!

But...she also takes good care of herself!

I am so thankful that even though we moved

from a beautiful mountain home we are still

living where we can walk amongst wildlife.

Many times I feel a more kindred spirit with

the wild than with so called civilization.

Happy Tuesday! October 8, 2019

  We just got back from spending 5 days

down in the Mt Shasta area of Northern California.

We celebrated a friends wedding and

visited many friends and enjoyed the beautiful

and warm Indian Summer days.

Here are a few random photos from our visit:
