Wonderful hike with
beautiful wild flowers
Yesterday a few of us ignored the HOT
weather and went on a 6 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail near Mt Ashland.
Parts of the trail were shady and the sunny parts had wonderful views and oodles of wildflowers to enjoy along the way.
Here a few photos of our hike:
We first hiked through tall trees
on the shady trail...
Orange Columbine
Once out in the open we were
surrounded by all sorts of
wild flowers!
Dramatic view with granite boulders
and Orange Columbine
Queen Anne Lace and Lupin
More Lupine and an unknown yellow flower
Some of the old trees looked like creatures
Open meadow
It was a glorious day and not really
too hot compared to when we got home!
It was about 102F in the city of Ashland
and "only" 96F at home.

And have a great weekend!
