I also went to the Farmers Market in L.O.

This photo reminds me to start making

this Rhubarb Relish.....

 

Combine the following ingredients in a

medium saucepan and bring to a boil

over high heat:

2 cups diced rhubarb

1/2 cup sugar

Grated zest of one orange

1/3 cup fresh orange juice

1/4 cup chopped shallots or red onion

1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped

 

Reduce the heat and simmer until the rhubarb

softens, about 12 minutes.  Yum!

I went past this adorably planted front yard.

Pretty pansies in a purple pot,  but what

caught my attention were the little pansies

coming up in between the pavers. Too cute!
