This black beauty is Poo....he has a lot of Lucy's

More of a lap cat than Poo or Fifi who is very shy.

I attempted to capture a photo of this gray squirrel

eating the Manzanita blossoms, however all

I really could get was the little brown tips of his ears

and a lot of gray fur!

But when this cutie exited the Manzanita

I did get a shot of the squirrel cooling

off on a shady rock....it was 70F yesterday!

We are up in Camas Washington visiting good friends

and their 3 cats! Lucy is at "Kitty Kamp" for

a few days and we'll be going home tomorrow.

Russell is multi-tasking reading and petting Muffin!

Such an alert and hungry jackrabbit!

He ate the sunflower seeds that had been scattered

under the bird feeder for probably 20 minutes.

Then he caught me snapping some photos!

I left the window so he could continue to

peaceably eat some more and he did!

California Acorn Woodpecker!

Beautiful birds and very talkative!

They are very gregarious and fly together

while looking for acorns or, in this case,

a tasty suet feeder!

Okay....no shadows to be seen anywhere

these days as it has been either snowing

or raining...but that's okay since we

need all the precipitation we can get.

Poor Mt Shasta is almost naked!

It snows and then the wind blows most of it away.

Russell can park our ATV with snow plow

back into to the shed with the snow blower!

Since today is his birthday

 I am glad he doesn't have to

go out to do more snow removal!

unseasonable sunny days and NOW

we get snow? None of us really want

to dust the cobwebs off our snow shovels....

The sun finally came out and so did

used the ATV with plow attached

to clear our driveway!
