Ended the war to end all wars
Or so we had hoped

Many thanks to Tess Kincaid for Magpie Tales
I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
Fine response to the prompt...
ReplyDeleteAfter the horrors of the first - who could have predicted a second.
ReplyDeleteYes, so we had hoped... and again in subsequent wars - there's something fundamental we humans don't seem to be getting
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that we cannot learn the lesson.
ReplyDeleteI fear wars will continue as long as there are people.
ReplyDelete'or so we hoped'... says it all...
ReplyDeleteBeautifully expressed!
In hindsight , seems like they were just beginning ...
ReplyDeleteHopes are high but still they remain. The truth prevails and one is still hoping! Nicely Kathe!

Hope is good, if only we could unlearn our past mistakes.
ReplyDeleteVery well done. I do fear that peace will never happen. If families can't get along what chance to different cultures have. Not much.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day honey. :)
" So we hoped" indeed...love that song Imagine.
ReplyDeleteSadly hope is always short lived.
