Six Words and Sunday Shadows! June 13-14, 2015

Summer is here- time to explore!
Yesterday our hiking group had a
"play day" where some of us hiked, others kayaked and some just relaxed and enjoyed the day. We all brought food and drinks to share
while our fearless leaders brought all sorts
of delicious BBQ choices.
 What a great way to kick off summer!    
 
We drove to Orr Lake about 30 miles away...
and saw 3 American White Pelicans
What a treat! We also saw lots of Red Winged
Blackbirds and Yellow-headed Black Birds. 

I kayaked and found interesting
things to photograph...

    wow, this is living! I saw pelicans in Florida and it is amazing how they make that long fast dive into the water to catch their dinner. The fresh air and lovely blue waters are so invigorating!
