Happy Tuesday! October 8, 2019

  We just got back from spending 5 days

down in the Mt Shasta area of Northern California.

We celebrated a friends wedding and

visited many friends and enjoyed the beautiful

and warm Indian Summer days.

Here are a few random photos from our visit:

she usually was in constant motion....

He did slow down a bit once he

had "wrassled" with Russell for a bit!

Yep....he's tired now!

Good grief...going through my photos from last year 

looking for a nice springy shot I came across

this photo I took last year on June 1 when we were

just putting our mountain home on the market!

And now here we are in Vancouver Washington

with warm sunny days in the low 70's!

Mama mia- how our life has changed. We miss our friends

and some things about our life there, BUT we don't miss

plowing snow nor keeping an eye out for wildfires!

We love where we are! And so does Lucy!

The movie business has changed drastically over the years with the rise of Netflix and other streaming services and the closing of businesses such as Blockbuster, but Couch Critics Movies and Games remains one of the last independent movie stores in California.

California Acorn Woodpecker!

Beautiful birds and very talkative!

They are very gregarious and fly together

while looking for acorns or, in this case,

a tasty suet feeder!

Okay....no shadows to be seen anywhere

these days as it has been either snowing

or raining...but that's okay since we

need all the precipitation we can get.

Poor Mt Shasta is almost naked!

It snows and then the wind blows most of it away.

Very Awesome Morning! 

 

 

 

One of my favorite buddies....he's so handsome!

 

After viewing the eclipse with good friends

we toasted the day with Martinelli's Cider

and Lindt's Dark Chocolate!

( I love my shadow hopping into the photo! ) 

 

We viewed the eclipse near Mt Shasta's

emergency helicopter pad with a bonus

viewing of the helicopter taking off!

to make this panorama...pretty fun!

Thursday I'll go up to Advanced Photo in Ashland 

and have them print this out on photo paper.
