I am always busy in our kitchen ! Having fun

making cookies or garlic spaghetti !!

Here's the recipe for Garlic spaghetti!

I have shared this before, but perhaps you

did not see it then!

The Famous and Awesomely
Tasty Garlic Spaghetti

2 ample servings
6-8 cloves pressed raw garlic

(more if you feel really mean)
1 raw egg
4 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon dry basil or 3 T fresh chopped basil
1/3 cup fresh chopped parsley
1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan/romano/asaigo cheese-what ever you prefer
9oz fresh pasta or same equivalent in dry pasta

Mix garlic,raw egg,butter,basil,parsley,and cheese throughly into a "gunk"
meanwhile boil water for pasta, cook pasta, drain pasta and stir gunk into hot pasta
thoroughly and serve immediately with crusty bread and a big green salad. YUM

Awww Monday! April 17, 2023

I found this delightful cookbook at our local

Camas WA library! So far I have tried two

recipes and they are both delicious!

Today it is pouring rain so I figured I might as

well bake a few tasty delights!

Above is the recipe for the Blueberry Coffee cake.

And here is the coffee cake before I cut it

up into nice sizes to share with our neighbors!!

But wait! I wasn't done....I also baked up a

batch of our favorite Gingersnaps!

Delicious! Especially with a glass of milk!

I always thought robins migrated south in

the winter, but we still see them flying

in and out of our trees!

Maybe it's not so cold for these robins??

So I googled and this what I found out:

"American Robins can be found year round in Washington

although most often the birds that breed in Washington

migrate south and are replaced for the winter by birds that

nest further north. Large migratory flocks can be seen

in the spring and fall."

Once again I have learned something new!

Awww Monday September 12, 2022

This past weekend we went to Astoria, Oregon for a reunion with many of Russell's Special Forces buddies. We barbequed and we all brought side dishes to share. It was a great time!

The day before Russell and I explored the Lewis and Clark National Historic Park and spent some time looking at Fort Clatsop and hiking one of the many trails.

We walked a total of 2 miles along the

Columbia River- so very peaceful!

The next day was the BBQ day! It was held in

the old enormous Bumble Bee cannery that now has

a lot of interesting history and lots of rooms

full of machinery exhibits. In addition there

are shops with lots of fun things

to purchase and also some restaurants.

Our reunion was held in the banquet room that had

wonderful views of ships and the Columbia River.

Everyone had a great time catchimg up, laughing

and telling stories! Here are a few photos:

It was very smoky that day because of all the
wildfires in Oregon.

This pigeon watched me closely for a bit....
