Magpie Tales #267 On the Road Again

Image provided by Tess Kincaid of Magpie Tales

 Gone are the days
Of slowly traveling
Rocking back and forth

Today landscapes zip by
Reality reflections....
Only momentarily glimpsed

Too bad we lost the art of travel.

  1. Those days are gone indeed. Now we get crammed into sardine compartments with farty, germy air and we fly. I rode a train in Scotland once, a long time ago, and it was pleasant, but mostly because there weren't that many people on the train. :-( Nice write.

  3. When we're on our boat and cruising down the river we've not lost our art of travel.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and tons of scritches to Miss Lucy. ♥♥♥

  6. We sure are in a hurry these days. I quite like an overnight coach ride as dire as that may sound. I'm usually the only one awake but I enjoy the time to myself. Elbows and all!

  7. I hope we haven't lost the art of travel because I'm hitting the road in a few weeks.

  8. Bigger Girl and Little Girl rode the City of New Orleans train to Chicago and back a couple of years ago. They loved it, and i've thought about taking train trips since. It actually is a nice way to go.

I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers!
