The Little Engine that Could 

First published in the United States in 1930 

I think we all have known "Little Engines".

Friends or family members 

that don't take no for an answer

and do not let difficulties in life 

deter them from reaching their goals.

One of my nieces is definitely a 

"Little Engine that Could" .

So this is for her and all single moms:

Life is challenging

And you face it head on

With a smile for all

and love for your kids 

You turn dark nights

Into sunny days 

And while helping others

You make your way

We all are proud

Of who you are

What you have done

And who you will be

I posted some weeks back photos of 3 other baby

quilts that I have been working on.

Here are 2 others that are completely 

finished. Now they have to wait til the babies are

here before I will mail them off. 

All 5 babies will be born sometime this spring!

Our weather is finally becoming winter!

We've had a severe drought here in all

of California. It started snowing yesterday 

and hopefully will cotinue.

Baby Quilt for Stan and Maggie's Grandchild

February 2, 2014

Finally finished all 6 tops for 6 babies!

Now they've been mailed to the quilter-

and she;ll mail them back to me so I can

put on the binding and then mail them off

once each baby has been born.

Probably won't see shadows for awhile-

since we are finally getting some winter weather!
