Six Words and Shadow Shot Sundays February 1-2 2014

 Fabric Evidence    January 31, 2014
Uh oh....up to my eyeballs!
Yep- I'm quilting again...
I had 6 to make- finished one
now have two more to send to
my friend Nancy Stovall-
 Portland's quintessential quilter!
 Just three more to go....
it's not work- it's fun!

Log Cabin quilts are so satisfying...

I made a "Big Sister" quilted purse
for Talea. You can see Talea's
quilt here:

This quilt will be for Talea's cousin.
She will be born three weeks
after Talea's brother.

I love those warm, sunny colors--they make me hopeful for spring on this cold, cloudy day!
    Such beautiful work!

  2. Tasty, colorful collection of fabric pieces. You've magicked them into great things, liked the purse especially.

  6. You do beautiful work. The last time Mrs. C. tried to sew anything she stitched my T-shirt, which she was attempting to repair, to her pants. Poor thing, she tries.

  8. Yes,I can see how quilting would be fun. A lot we are up to our eyeballs in unpleasantries.
Your quilts are very pretty. A lot of Mom's old, old quilts were left at the farm house. The had a lot of wear holes in the so she said to leave them.
Later Mrs Jim and I went out to try salvaging some but an animal had broken into the house an made a nest.
Later still, someone, a person or people, broke in and took them all along with a lot of other stuff..

  9. So very pretty too. My grandma made these for years and years and I didn't see the importance. I sure wish I had one of hers now.

Have a fabulous weekend. Big hugs. ♥♥♥

What fun fabric - that's what I love about quilting ... it might be the same pattern but the fabrics give it it's individuality. Looking forward to seeing the rest!
