Six Word Saturday and Shadow Shot Sunday September 28-29, 2013

Ready, Set, Go!

Scott, Lap, Russell and Tom

My favorite bikers raring to go!
Our indomitable bike riding trio are off once again
to participate in a Double Century bike ride on Saturday.
Yesterday Russell joined them for a simple jaunt of 20 miles.
Tomorrow they will ride a bit over 200 miles in one day!
Here's the link to that bike ride they are doing today:

Meanwhile we continue to have
beautiful sunrises......lucky us.
Here's the link to Six Words:

Have a fabulous week!

  1. Loved the beautiful sunrise! And I am heading over to the link right now to read about the cycling. Some people are so ambitious!

    Have a great Saturday!

  2. Great post for the day! Love your bikers! Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Two hundred miles is quite a trek! Wishing them luck.
And that is a really amazing photo of the sunrise.

  4. Two hundred miles in one day? I don't even want to drive my car for 200 miles in one day. Yikes.

Have a terrific weekend honey. Big hugs. :)

  5. Nice post, fun group photo, and I am also enjoying all I can before the snow flies here!

  6. Two hundred miles in a day? Wow.

  7. Love the pictures. Have fun!

  8. That sounds nice, Kathy, but it IS a long way to ride in one sitting.

We ride the MS 150 from Houston ot Austin in two days. But no too much training is needed and isn't a race.
"The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising cycling ride organized by the National MS Society. In 2013, we are close to hitting our goal of $18 million for MS. It's not ..."

  9. 200 miles in one day is amazing, so is your sunrise picture!

  10. holy cow, 200 hundred miles, I hope a lot of it's downhill! Good for them.

  11. A beautiful sunrise like the one on your post is a great way to start the day. And my best to the bikers. I hope they all accomplish their goals.

  12. Incredible bike challenge. And still the bikers smile. A gorgeous sky in the second photo too.

  13. I do love the sky shot - the shadows fall from the sky - and within the clouds. To a lovely effect! I have known many a bike rider of tremendous skill - that would find 200 a serious challenge. We all hope for success!

Gorgeous sunrise! The weekend is almost over but I hope it was a good one, Kathe. :)

  15. You have a very clever blog name.

  16. Beautiful sunrise indeed-and so lucky!

Still trying to comprehend riding a bike for 200 miles. Wow.
