Shadow Shots and Six Words April 26-27, 2014

Everyone needs their own artistic space !!!

Russell's Studio
April 23, 2014

When we moved to our new home
we knew we had to add a bedroom
on the main floor. I thought it was
a great idea to also add an "Art Hall"
so that Russell would have a perfect
place to paint!
Here's the latest painting.....

  6. Yes...it is nice for each of us to have a space to create...or to relax and ponder! I have a front room with a window and I spend lots of time on my computer here...or just relaxing and watching tv...and I can watch the world from my window!

    Happy Saturday!

  7. Wow, he's got some serious talent. Where does he sell his work? His style is one of my favorite kinds. Does he have a picture of sunflowers?
I love your above comment invitation. I feel the same way. I have google+ because as a co-host we kinda have to, but I have NO idea really how it works and I can't find people's blogs there.
On that note, may I suggest that when you comment, you either leave a hyperlink (article available about how to do that at the A-Z Blog) or just your URL, or the name of the blog(s) that are current. When I get to a profile with six blogs, it takes time to click through and find out which one is the A-Z one, and then after April, which is the current one. Just some advice to make commenting easier, take it or leave it.
Thanks for being a follower at Life is Good. I'm following you back, unless I already did...April is rather a blur as you might imagine...

  8. A double whammy! The art space looks very inviting, Kathe, and I love the painting. So much character!

  9. I like the simplicity of the composition, and the fact that we can't see the man's face. Where is he going? What's in that satchel? I love pictures that ask more questions than they answer.

Russell is a talented man! Thanks for sharing a sample of his work.

I recently has the opportunity to see my first studio and loved it! When I got home, I told my husband that I want a work room when we buy our new house. :-)

PS I write instead of paint.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
