Everyone needs their own artistic space !!!
Russell's Studio
April 23, 2014
When we moved to our new home
we knew we had to add a bedroom
on the main floor. I thought it was
a great idea to also add an "Art Hall"
so that Russell would have a perfect
place to paint!
Here's the latest painting.....

What a brilliant bright space, and a super painting
ReplyDeleteHe did a wonderful job on that painting!
ReplyDeleteA very good idea. It is a lovely space.
ReplyDeleteLovely artful room, great for muses! Very stunning painting.
ReplyDeleteI love his studio. Man cave if you will and I love that painting. He's very good.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. Big hugs. :)
Yes...it is nice for each of us to have a space to create...or to relax and ponder! I have a front room with a window and I spend lots of time on my computer here...or just relaxing and watching tv...and I can watch the world from my window!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!
Wow, he's got some serious talent. Where does he sell his work? His style is one of my favorite kinds. Does he have a picture of sunflowers?
ReplyDeleteI love your above comment invitation. I feel the same way. I have google+ because as a co-host we kinda have to, but I have NO idea really how it works and I can't find people's blogs there.
On that note, may I suggest that when you comment, you either leave a hyperlink (article available about how to do that at the A-Z Blog) or just your URL, or the name of the blog(s) that are current. When I get to a profile with six blogs, it takes time to click through and find out which one is the A-Z one, and then after April, which is the current one. Just some advice to make commenting easier, take it or leave it.
Thanks for being a follower at Life is Good. I'm following you back, unless I already did...April is rather a blur as you might imagine...

A double whammy! The art space looks very inviting, Kathe, and I love the painting. So much character!
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of the composition, and the fact that we can't see the man's face. Where is he going? What's in that satchel? I love pictures that ask more questions than they answer.
ReplyDeleteBathed in sunlight and shadow. Nice.
ReplyDeleteLovely space for creating and a truly great painting.
ReplyDeleteWhat artist wouldn't love that space?
ReplyDeleteShadowy Magnolia
It looks like he's drawing great inspiration being in that lovely space!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful space to be artistic in! I agree, you need to be able to relax, let go and let the creativity flow.
ReplyDeleteSuper space and a wonderful picture.
ReplyDeleteWonderful space to create - lovely painting as well.

Don't know how I'd manage without mine. Great photo, cool painting.
ReplyDeleteRussell is a talented man! Thanks for sharing a sample of his work.
ReplyDeleteI recently has the opportunity to see my first studio and loved it! When I got home, I told my husband that I want a work room when we buy our new house. :-)
PS I write instead of paint.
Love the shadows you've captured!
