I've been chasing down these Trees Inc workers
to ask them if they would bring us some chips for
our landscaping needs. And yay! They arrived earlier
this week with a truck load!
We had a lot of Manzanita cleared from
about 2-3 acresof our 10+ acres last Spring
and the chips will halp keep the dust down .
Trees Inc does a lot of tree trimming in our area and
they are always looking for a place to dump the chips.
A second truck arrived later the same day!
They promised us one more load later next week.
I promised them a lot of chocolate chip cookies!
I think we have a lot of work cut out for us
spreading all these chips.....
How nice of them to let you have the chips. That rocks and some cookies. Heck that's even better. You'll be happy and so will they.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day honey. ☺
One man's garbage is another man's treasure! Cool that they brought you three loads.
ReplyDeleteMountains of chips, very cool, great exchange cookies for chips.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty funny how I would chase them down.... I'd drive around listening for the roar of the chippers.......drive in that direction and then I'd see their MEN AT WORK signs
ReplyDelete..and come to a screeching halt at the trucks. Nice guys!!! Life in the country-can't beat it!
Have a great day everyone!
I used to live in the country, and I agree: You can't beat it! This would never happen here in the city. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for chips!
Sounds like a win win for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome, and well worth hunting them down! You won't receive if you don't ask right!
ReplyDeleteChips for chips! Both of you will enjoy that exchange, i think.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that. I am having mulch delivered this week and you would be shocked at how expensive it is for a truck load of wood chips here in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to thank you for reading my blog throughout the A-to-Z Challenge, and to apologize for being a bad reciprocator. (I know it's not a word) In thanks for supporting me, and because I followed you throughout the challenge, too, I gave you a Liebster when I was given one. The information for that is here.
ReplyDeleteWow cool idea to help with dust. I wish they could find something that would work out here in the desert but everything either flies around (chips wouldn't work in the gusty winds here) or would dry out in seconds. Guess we have to deal with dust storms for a while longer until they discover something! Good luck spreading all your chippings!
