It's a Bit of a Bah Humbug Day

Yesterday I made a huge
batch of White Chocolate Chip cookies with
dried cranberries and finely chopped walnuts...

Popping them into the oven.....

I made them larger than usual
as Santa told me he prefers them that way...

So what happens last night? After they are
all tucked into the cookie jar?

Two guesses.....I have a cold...bah humbug!
Good thing though is by the time my son Paul arrives
my cold will be gone or at least not contagious!
I'm going back to bed now to read and wait
for my orange juice to arrive....
Have a great day!

Christmas of Today and Christmases Past

Christmas of Today

and Christmases Past

Today is much simpler

With only stockings to fill

But I miss the childish chuckles

In the early morning still

Of sweet children opening gifts

Of toys so wanted and admired

Whispered softly in Santa's ear

What those little hearts desired

And in that early morning

As parents yawn and smile

They watch their lovely children

Past remembrances beguile
