Body Language

The tilt of the head

Hand pushing away

Toe tapping instead

Of walking away

The silent whisper

of a body motion

Evokes a glimmer

In hopes deep ocean

Journey and the Road Ahead

Our Journey Together
Do we take the road less travelled
The fork in the road that's only graveled
Or do we take the super highways
Ignoring those intriguing secret byways
We'll take the wiggly road that's off the map
Rather than drive through life just taking a nap.

Christmas of Today and Christmases Past

Christmas of Today

and Christmases Past

Today is much simpler

With only stockings to fill

But I miss the childish chuckles

In the early morning still

Of sweet children opening gifts

Of toys so wanted and admired

Whispered softly in Santa's ear

What those little hearts desired

And in that early morning

As parents yawn and smile

They watch their lovely children

Past remembrances beguile

Happy Halloween!

Here's a little poem I wrote for Halloween...
And for Jingle's Poetry Potluck too...
BOO!

Once upon a dark and gloomy night

I was out for a little tiny bite

Of a tasty neck

Oh what the heck

It's my diet and I'll eat what I like

Potluck Poem- Love and Romance

Love and Romance

It's a lively dance
A cha cha cha
A YES YES YES
I do gotcha

Machismo tangle
of legs and arms
A sexy samba
Aie Yie Caramba

Swift sure steps with
Feet in motion
Set the oceans
Of deep emotions

And there's that pause
When eyes glance
Oh take that chance
Of that forever dance
