It's Awww Monday! August 31, 2015

This time of year apples are

ripening and some do fall on the

ground if not picked....

This time of year I wish I had

some of these apples to

give to our lovely deer.....

But all there is for deer to eat where we live

are all the acorns falling off the Oak trees.

But our buck doesn't seem to mind...

wild female turkey and squirrel ignore

each other as they gobbled up

what had fallen out of the bird feeder.

Pauvre Petite Chat

They never let me out

No matter how I meow

Or stamp my paws and shout

"I must eat that mouse right now!"

I'm stuck in the house

Must admit it's rather cozy

Laying by the fire

And my toes are getting rosy

I'd rather be a toasty cat

Sleeping by the fires glow

Than that little chilly deer

Out standing in the snow.

When I drive on winding country roads

I keep my eye out and it ain't for toads

I'm looking sharp for those little deer

Who haven't a clue it's quite clear!
They jump about and chase each other
Into the street-their poor deer mother!
All ears and legs- cute as can be
How they survive is amazing to me!
