Thankful Thursday February 23, 2023

Lucy cannot believe it is snowing!

Oodles of birds at our feeders!
Red and Yellow Shafted woodpeckers,
Downy woodpeckers, Varied Thrushes
and all sorts of Chickadees. The Starlings are
coming in now and we would just as soon
they fly back to England! They take over.
Anyhow- all of us are enjoying the snow
and the birds too! We need the snow on our
mountains and melted snow in our rivers
and creeks! We are thankful for all that we can get!
Have a lovely day and many thanks to Brian for               Thankful Thursday!!

  1. Lucy, that's a beautiful winter scene outside your window. Except for the starlings. They really are a messy nasty bird. That I have no compassion for. But there's millions of them so they don't really care do they.

  2. We are on day three of our snowstorm and we are happy to have another nice load of it. Our cat bro Bert isn't interested in watching snow anymore. He's old and sleeps most of the time.

  3. I like watching the snow fall, too. It's so pretty but I'm thankful we don't see too much of it in our area. The Smoky's especially the higher elevations gets sizable snowfalls. I remember when we were first married we enjoyed driving to mountains to see it. If it was really bad the park was gated off to motorists. Enjoy the snow!

  4. It's absolutely crazy half the country is experiencing snow and a storm while the other half is experiencing a heat wave. (Yeah, that's us. Four-five hours north of us it the storm. Crazy!)
You'd enjoy seeing the bright red cardinals we have here in the snow.

  5. I miss seeing the birds enjoying the feeders, especially in winter. The red birds were always my favorite. Sadly we are now in FloryDa and snow here is pretty scarce. Love, Dori

  9. PS I do eagerly and with great excitement await the arrival of our Ruby Throated Hummingbirds. The male arrives first about mid March. They are our only hummers so I thoroughly enjoy them.

  12. We miss the snow from our old home. It is so impurrtant to have for the Spring and Summer to come. The warm weather here in warm land is nice too though :-)
