Thankful Thursday March 31, 2022

Our wonderful nearby friends took in these
5 kittens and their Mother ( only 1 year old ) .
The Vancouver Humane Society had brought
them up from California when no one could help
them there as the Humane Societies there had no room.
Our friends volunteered to take care of the family
until the kittens were old enough to be adopted.
They have been caring for them for about 6 or more weeks now.

Three of the five rescued kittens.

Here's their mother Rowena who is the sweetest
ever mother cat. She and the kittens have been
spayed/neutered and have gotten all their
vaccines etc and are ready to be adopted.

Here are the other two of five kittens.
They are all adorable and fun to watch and play with!
These five darling kittens and their mom will be
and will be available for adoption probably
this coming weekend. I am so thankful that our
friends have been taking care of these sweet cats !
And many thanks to Brian for Thankful Thursday!
Have a lovely day everyone!

    1. They will all find good homes! The Humane Society is very careful as to who adopts the animals who are being sheltered there.

  4. That was nice of them. Too bad they aren't keeping any. We wouldn't need six cats, but it would be difficult to get rid of all of them.

    1. Alex- they already have a lovely cat Baila- she is 6 years old. They kept the mother and the kittens separately in their large extra bedroom and put a lot of toys, a cat tree etc in there so Baila would not have a "fit" seeing other cats in the house. Cats are very territorial!

    1. I wish some family could adopt the whole family- but I know I am asking a lot! If I could I would- but Lucy would have a FIT!
