Bees are very important !
They pollinate a third of our food. That's right!
One out of every three bites you put in your mouth was pollinated by honeybees. In addition to pollinating crops such as apples, almonds, broccoli strawberries, cucumbers and cotton, bees also pollinate alfalfa seeds which are used for beef and dairy feed.

And let's not forget the honey they make!

That's why they are so important!
ReplyDeleteWe hope the bees survive, we'll be in heap big trouble without them.
ReplyDeleteHere's to the bees, i pray they survive and thrive.
ReplyDeleteWe know they are important, but we don't like having any of their nests around our house because they are painful when they sting.
ReplyDeleteInteresting post Kathe :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a buzztastic Monday 👍
I agree with you. I never mess with the bees.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug to you both and lots of scritches to Miss Lucy. ♥
Yay Bees! We need to save them, how can we not?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little bee badge.
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Bees are adorable and I'm obsessed with the ones in Winnie the Pooh. So cute! As far as the real ones go, I always plant flowers that attract bees. Wonderful little creatures.
ReplyDeleteSo sad how many have died from that mite they get.
ReplyDeleteTerrific Awww! We are leaving the dandelions for another week or until there are more flowers. The ground bees are foraging and they rely on dandelions for sustenance this time of year. Even the guy down the street who hates them in his lawn is on the ground bees side! We hope you have a marvellously happy day!
