AWWWW Monday!!!! August 9,2015 Our Annual Music Party!

Every year for at least 15 years we have
had a music party in the summer.

It's partly to thank friends and family,
but it is also just plain ol' fun!

About 60 folks showed up to
listen to Tom and Leslie play
some familiar tunes and some new
songs written and composed by Tom!
Here's a link to listen to:

Everyone brought delicious food to share...

And they played on....

But the sweetest was yet to come....

Two of our friends grandchildren
asked if they could play music also....

So after Tom and Leslie were finished...
these two kids did an amazing job
of entertaining us with musical skill and poise.
Grandson on the harmonica...

Grandaughter on the ukulele....
We were all so impressed.
What a special treat!

Recycled Party Utensils  August 9, 2015

Meanwhile the next day I did my
recycling due diligence by washing the
plastic utensils so I can re-use them
again. I've had these for at least 5 years
and even though my library buddies
tease me about my frugal ways,
it just makes sense to me.
Does anyone else out there do this?

Thanks to Sandee of Comedy Plus
for Awww Mondays!
Have a great week !

  10. What a fun party! Yes, i wash and reuse platic flatware and plastic cups. They get used over and over until they break, and then they are thrown in the recycling.
