An afternoon walk by a little stream...

Today was again a lovely springy day.
I could hear all the tree frogs down the hill
from us. I thought I'd walk down and maybe
 see one of them. Nope.
They became completely silent of course.
I was intruding on their private tree frog only concert.
So, here are some photos of my little walk
along the silent seasonal spring.

This spring is only here until summer.
Then it dries up until we have lots of
snow or rain.

I could see where the deer had come down to drink.
I did not see any other tracks.
We saw cougar tracks here last spring.

The water was quite clear.

Lichen on the rocks.

The stream peacefully glides over....

Last photo on my little walk...
What does this look like to you?

  1. I would have loved to go along with you on this lovely walk.

The last piece looks like a dried up piece of wood with a heart in it.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

  2. Looks like a dinosaur skull to me. Lovely little waterway while it lasts.

  3. What a lovely scene this must have been. I should have added the sound of tree frogs to my post this morning! I love that sound in the springtime.

  4. I love clear water springs. If I ever bought more land, that might have to be some of the criteria that there be a running creek on the property.

As for the piece of wood. That looks like the icon for the Scream movies or the painting of Edvard Munch's The Scream.

  6. It's so nice to be able to walk in places like this.

The piece of wood looks to me like it should be the top of Gandalf's walking stick.
