Faun, Horse, and Bird, 1936
Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso
The faun and the horse were constantly fighting
Rearing and smacking and even biting
The lovely dove, a bird of peace
Screamed "Stop it you two- let this chaos cease
Your behavior is useless and stupidly hostile
You're acting like humans and that's just awful."

Great words. They must not follow our example.
ReplyDeleteBehaving like humans -can be awful!
ReplyDeletevery clever and true! thanks for rhyme too-
Quite clever.
ReplyDeleteWhat jolly good advice! lol
ReplyDeleteDitto! But I thought the dove was complaining that the horse was treading on its foot and the fawn was trying to see what it was so upset about while the horse was laughing at them both. How wrong one can be about the meaning of art!
ReplyDeleteHaha... we humans do act awfully silly at times.
ReplyDeleteYou worded this sad truth very well!
ReplyDeleteHeaven forbid. But the dove looks so squashed.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love, fun and full of irony! Greetings.

ReplyDeleteWe humans don't set a good example for sure. Good to bring in the dove as a peacemaker.
