Eric Alders Monday Photo Prompt 1-14-2013

Photograph by Eric Alder

I'm just waiting for the bus
So what's all the fuss
How would I see that sign
When in a long line?
A sign should be up on a wall
Not at the height of a baby's crawl
~~~~~~
Being a sorta literal kinda gal- I took this
photograph at it's literal self.
Haven't we all seen signs posted in silly places??
For other's takes on this photo or to just
  1. Here in Portland they post signs so high that only the birds can see them.
  2. Growing up in NOLA, i got used to traffic lights being sideways and street signs that read from top to bottom instead of left to right in some places. It wouldn't surprise me to see a sign on the street like that.
    Very good interpretation.
  3. Actually, that sign is about 7 feet off the ground, on a wall by the back door of my employer's building.
    But I liked your piece - the idea that a sign would be posted at baby-height tickled me!
    Thanks for playing, Kathe!
  4. The odd placement of signs is sometimes laughable. Here there seems to be a lot of signs placed on sidewalks saying "sidewalk closed". I am always tempted to walk on one to see what happens.
I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
