Eric Alders Monday Photo Prompt 11-26-2012

Once again I am asking you to imagine an image as
currently Google has a "glitch" in it's system and
a lot of us are not able to post all the images we would
like to post. Such as me wanting to post Eric Alder's
fine close up photo of a old lichen covered wooden fence.
Now that you have that fine image firmly in your brain,
here's my little accompanying "ditty" ***
***I found a way to thwart blogger
so have added Eric's image! December 1,2012

I'm quite tired you see
Keeping back all invaders
Enduring icy snowballs
and Halloween raiders
I've seen water balloon wars
and High School evaders
Attempting to escape
All the little 3rd graders
So tear me down and
Let in the neighbors
It's a lot more fun to play
Running  through freed acres

  1. I'm 'on the fence' (pun totally intended) about tearing down fences. On one hand, the freedom for all people would be wonderful. But on the other hand, I remember a bit of wisdom from Will Rogers: Good fences make good neighbors.

    Thanks for playing M.M.P.P. Kathe!

  2. To live in a place with the fence so far away i couldn't see it would be a dream come true.

That's why my gate is always open.

  3. Sorry, to hear that you are still battling the photo problem.

Why I find anything covered with lichen charming is one of life's great mysteries.

As for fences...I love them. My backyard can by my private haven, my magic garden and I feel peaceful solitude. However, I never lock my gate and the neighbors come through to enjoy the garden. I am fine with that but I always know I have the option to lock the gate if I choose.

  4. I feel that I can see and hear this lively play of words.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
