Magpie Tales #215 Here Kitty Kitty....

The King of Cats, 1935, Balthus

There once was a artist named Balthus
Whose love of cats gave some pause
Said he "I love cats
If you don't then just scat!
I adore their sharp little claws!"

Early photo of Balthus date unknown

You don't find a whole bunch of guys that love cats. Very well done.

Have a fab Sunday. :)

So...don't give me a boo...

which makes me smile...
I'd walk a long way to see my kitty...
...the walk could be as long as a mile!!

Balthus was a fascinating painter who is only recently getting the credit he deserves. Like your poem as well.

I like how you acknowledge the painter in your poem. Nice. :-)

Very nice! I do think the man was much like a cat himself as well!

How delicious that he loves them because of the sharpness of his claws. Yep, feelings as unconventional as Balthus' art...
