In fact I did once tie a string around my finger to help me remember something, only I couldn't recall what I was trying to remember.

Never could tie one on by myself, had to resort to the old rubber band on the wrist schtick.

Well at my age I've forget what I tied the string around my finger for, but I remember this very well. My mother used to say it all the time.

I've never tied a string around my finger. . . I do write stuff on my hand all the time, although I end up forgetting it's there anyways. ;)
