This is Missy Gracie

Rescue kitty Gracie has been living

with our good friends in Lake Oswego

for years. Her right front paw was seriously

mangled by a dog before she was rescued and

adopted by our friends. It is amazing how she 

manages to get around. Of course she is an indoor

only kitty. Much safer that way.  

She lives with this dynamic trio:

All are rescued kitties.

While visiting our friends Tom and Steve 

in Lake Oswego I had to take photos of

their two cats Oscar and Lisa. 

They each have distinct personalities..... 

Oscar is so relaxed and laid back....

While Lisa has some issues with

strangers in the house....

Oscar just doesn't understand Lisa...

And Lisa doesn't understand Oscar,

but she's trying to relax!!!

Poor Lisa- it's hard being only 12" tall.

Garlic Spagetti Puts a Smile on My Face

Tonight's dinner was delish! We are testing 3 different

types of garlic...which one will make the cut and get into

our Hot Dill Pickle jars?

We got the garlic samples from Katie with Greenthumb garlic

So far all the garlic is yummy-most likely we'll be getting all 3 varieties!

It's February already???

A picture is worth a thousand words

and this picture only begins to tell the tale

of the huge blizzard in the Mt Sasta area of California.

Granted-they need the snow-but the destruction

was not an added bonus.

Our friends in Weed are digging out and revving up

their chain saws to take care of trees on barn roofs

and on their acreage. Good thing they have a woodstove!

Meanwhile- here in Oregon we are enjoying

finding new places for a sip or two and

several bites of yummy food.

And finally....we had out of town guests from Baker City

last weekend-so I tried out a Sticky Pecan Caramel Rolls

recipe from the Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day

cookbook.....delicious and we ate the whole thing!
