Awww Monday! The beginning of our Travel Project! September 6, 2021

On August 23, 2021 we began a 9 day
bicycling odyssey. We did not cycle
500 miles in a three day whirl, but
our friends did and we helped support
them while they went up, down and
around the high altitude mountains
and thru the majestic and colorful canyons
in Southern Utah near the city of St George.
I will be sharing some photos over this week
and maybe even next week!
The first day we drove 6 hours and 22 minutes
to Baker City, Oregon where our good friends
Tom and Sarah live. We originally met them
in St Victor la Coste, France working on a restoration
project La Sabranenque . We had a great visit
and the next day set out for the 4 hour drive
to Salt Lake City!

Arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah.
There are old mansions interspersed
between skyscrapers.
Too big a city for me.

  1. How fun. What a good way to exercise and what a wonderful way to show your support. That's a long way to go on a bicycle.

I've flown into and out of Salt Lake City, but never left the airport.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs all around. ♥♥♥

  2. WOW, that's totally impressive and so is that mansion.

  3. Looks nice, I don't think you would like London then heheh!

    Have a traveltastic week Kathe

  4. Cities are fun to see for a day or two, but we wouldn't like to live in one either.

  5. How exciting and fun for you and your friends and great photos for us ~ Xo

While you were away, I had an appendectomy, on 8/25. I am doing very well with my recovery. Proof positive no plans are concrete and all subject to change.

  7. I was raised in SLC and know those mountain roads well, awesome that you have friends in such good shape to bike up them - wow!
