Thanks Sandee for Awww Mondays!
And many thanks to our awesome friends who included us
in their adventurous 3 Day 500 Mile Bicycle race!
What a ride!
Well, I am back on my own driving from Panquitch Utah back to St George Utah! I chose to take the scenic route rather then hooking up to I-15 and zooming down the freeway.
So I ambled south down on 143, stopped at Panguitch Lake and went past a skiing mountain area Brian Head elevation 11,299 feet before turning south to go down on 148 past Cedar Breaks National Monument.
I made a few stops along the way- to take in the majestic views.
Eventually I made my way back to the I-15 freeway and made good time getting back to St George Utah and was able to check back in early at the very nice Best Western Abbey Inn.
Got settled and then went to the pool area to swim and read .
I eventually got a bit hungry and after looking a bit online I chose to go to Georges Corner Restaurant !! WOW- delicious !! I definitely would go back for more yummy food!
Unfortunately we all were not able to get in there for dinner so we chose a not so great place Texas Roadhouse and all I will say is DO NOT EAT THERE. Noisy, crowded and marginal food.
But it was fun to celebrate
The Three Day 500 Mile Bicycle Race!
Here are two of our good friends coming in to the finish line!
Oh how fun and I would have taken the scenic route too. l Always a wonderful thing to do.
ReplyDeleteLove the menu of the place you loved. We've not been to the Texas Roadhouse and now we won't go.
What a fabulous adventure.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs to you all. ♥
Safe travels and cool you got to be there at the finish.
ReplyDeleteTexas Roadhouse is certainly nothing to write home about.

I admire anyone who does a long bike ride like that.

It looks like a great good time for all of the participants. Hard work, too, but worth it if you love it.
ReplyDeleteI would fall off the bicycle that's at least 25 years that I haven't sit on one but I imagine that it is very nice to drive through such a beautiful landscape !
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun! We haven't been on our bikes in years. We used to like to take them to Cades Cove in the Smoky's. I once upon a time rode my bike from Newfound Gap to Clingmans Dome parking lot eons ago. It's only 7-miles but the incline just about killed me. I was so happy to accomplish that, though. When I finally reached the parking lot some of the people who passed me cheered me on. lol That sure made my ride all the more special. :) I couldn't do that today, though. I'm too out of shape.
