Feline Friday! July 9, 2021

Since we moved back up into the Pacific Northwest
I opted in on the website Nextdoor.
It is very informative and helpful.
This kitty has come over to our property many
times and yesterday he/she was extremely
skittish and afraid. I did coax the kitty to
have some food which was devoured quickly.
So, I posted on Nextdoor hoping the owner would respond
or a neighbor would know where the kitty lives.
I think this cat was outside during the illegal fireworks
going on the block not far from us.
This morning there was no sign of the cat
and I sure hope it found it's way back home.

  1. I hope so too. In my blogging group there's a kitty missing and I'm hoping he'll find his way home. The 4th is fun for many, but it sure isn't for our babies.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Love and hugs all around. ♥♥♥

  4. I too hope the kitty found her/his way home. I'm glad you were able to get it to eat. Hopefully food gave it the energy to get home. Leadmine Lake: it is a confined body of water probably very stagnant there are fish in it and the water birds love it.. I need to do some research on it. I don't think swimming is permitted. I'll let you know if I found any valuable info

  5. I found this when I searched Lead Mine Lake and it was new info to me too. I didn't know Greystone and Lead Mine connected.:

"Having grown up in the area I can tell you for sure there is a mine entrance on the hill off Lead Mine rd. My friends and I would ride our bikes all over the area and would fish the 2 ponds, one is Greystone lake and the other is smaller which was fed by Greystone. We discovered the entrance one day while searching for another pond. The entrance is on the hill behind a red barn which was visible from Lead Mine rd. (not sure if it still exists as this was a long time ago.).

  9. Fireworks are so scary for many people and pets, i do wish they'd be kept to professional shows only.

Poor kitty, i hope it got home safely.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers!
