It's that time again! Both of us have large
families and therefore little babies show up!
The quilt above is for a little boy and the
silly little stuffed lion is for the older brother
who just turned two in December.
I figured the older brother would appreciate
a small gift too!
This quilt is for a little girl born
just a few days ago! She has an older
sister not quite 2 years old and I found
a cute little book for her to enjoy!
I am sure that they will probably both
enjoy having the book read to them at bedtime!
Have a lovely Awww Monday!
Thanks Sandee for Awww Monday!
~~~~~~
They are both beautiful. You make the most beautiful baby blankets. I know first hand. They will love these.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Kathe. Big hug to you both and lots of scritches to Miss Lucy. ♥♥♥
Thanks Sandee- I have so much fun making them! Have a great day! xoxo
DeleteThat's nice you make sure everyone gets a gift. How many quilts have you made over the years?
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex- I make sure no one feels left out! I have been making baby quilts for about 15 years...Unfortunately I did not photograph all of them...but I figure I've made at least 50 over the years including not only relatives, but friends babies and their Grandies also. Now these last two are greats!
DeleteThose really are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian- I sort of feel like it's painting with fabric!
DeleteYour quilts are treasures.
ReplyDeleteMimi- when your children begin to have their babies- let me know so I can make a quilt for their little ones! xoxoxo
DeleteAww! they are lovely and soooo cute heheh! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a gifttastic safe Monday 😷😷😷
It's sweet of you to get the other child something as well so they don't feel quite as left out when the new baby gets all the attention. Very special any pretty quilts for the new babies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comments- have a great day!
DeleteThe quilts are awesome. My wife typically knits a blanket for newborns. Every grandchild, most of the great nieces & nephews, as well as a dozen or so church families have a baby blanket knitted by my spouse. For each of the grandchildren she has made a memory quilt out of t-shirts from their youth. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I tried to learn knitting, but I was all tied up in knots! Cheers and take care- thanks for your nice comments!
DeleteI love your header! Those quilts and the stuffed lion are so precious, so beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteThanks- I have a lot of fun doing these! Take care!
DeleteThose quilt are gorgeous! I know the people receiving them will love them. I used to crochet sweaters and receiving blankets. But there are no smalls in the family now. Thanks for sharing them with us! I love looking at your work. You are awesome and have a marvellously Happy Day!
ReplyDeleteWe have no end of smalls in our big families and also in our friends families!
DeleteI love your header too.
ReplyDeleteThe quilts are beautiful and perfect for each new one.
I agree I always take a gift for the big brother or sister when delivering a baby gift
