Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions. Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions. Thanks Ellen and Lorianne!

Here are my fill-in answers:

1. You don’t have to convince me to be nice to others- it doesn't cost anything and it makes me happy!

2. All this negativity in our country is causing me stress.

3. Speaking from experience, we are all responsible for ourselves- no one else can make you happy etc- it does have to come from inside. As my mother taught me smiling is a lot easier than frowning! Uses less muscles and feels better!

4. Over time, my opinion of politicians has changed. Today they all pretty much are just interested in power and money in their pockets!

Awwww Monday! February 22, 2021

It's that time again! Both of us have large

families and therefore little babies show up!

The quilt above is for a little boy and the

silly little stuffed lion is for the older brother

who just turned two in December.  

I figured the older brother would appreciate

a small gift too! 

This quilt is for a little girl born 

just a few days ago! She has an older

sister not quite 2 years old and I found

a cute little book for her to enjoy!

I am sure that they will probably both

enjoy having the book read to them at bedtime!

Thankful Thursday February 18, 2021

her magnificent photos of two good friends.

For years, photographer Tanja Brandt has made it her mission to capture magnificent  photos of animals and wildlife. 

Recently, the German artist found a new challenge when she photographed the unique bond between two unlikely friends: Ingo, a Belgian shepherd, and Poldi (Napoleon), 

a one-year-old owlet.

 The owlet and canine have a special 

protector-protected relationship.

Their affection toward each other couldn't be any more evident.

 Ingo lovingly guards Poldi, who apparently doesn't know how to live free. 

The owlet hatched two days after his six brothers and sisters, therefore, has always been very vulnerable due to his small size. 

They respect each other and they can read each other, says the photographer.

Wordless Wednesday February 17, 2021

 The last rose of winter....

this single little rose just today fell off

the little rose bush it had been attached

to for months...seriously!

But the extreme weather finally convinced

the rose that it needed to be on the snow

and not on the stem!

After I took that photo I had fun stamping my

footsteps on our neighbors driveway. 

They are in Costa Rica and therefore I can have

fun on their snow! It will melt long before 

they are home! 

PS I did shovel off their sidewalk!

 Success!!!

 I shoveled out our driveway and sidewalk!

Over the weekend Vancouver Washington

had a hellacious snow and ice storm

complete with high winds!

Feline Friday! February 5, 2021

This photo was posted months ago. 

I knew the cat was not a stray, but

I worried about it as it roamed the

neighborhood and we have coyotes

that come through. 

After awhile it stopped coming by.

Perhaps because I was roaming the

neighborhood with a photo asking folks if they

knew whose cat it was. Hopefully the owner

was contacted and realized it would

 be best if the cat stayed inside?

We see posted lost cat and dog notices

all the time. Heartbreaking.
