I took this photo while in the
Dunsmuir Botanical Garden.
I know it's not a Monarch Butterfly.
Does anyone know what kind it is?
Have a lovely day!
Thanks Sandee!

That's a good capture I think it's a flitter flatter butterfly ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a safetastic week Kathe 😷😷😷
I don't know what sort it is because we have different butterflies here, but it is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not a monarch, or a viceroy, or, actually, any butterfly I know. Not that I know too many. You can try a site called butterfly conservation(dot) org (without the spaces) Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWe don't know much about butterflies but we have seen many pretty ones flying around recently.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, but it sure is beautiful. I'm guessing someone will know.

Kathe,
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. The markings almost mirror identically from one wing to the other - so cool!
Very pretty, whatever it is.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby looked it up in his book and it is either a Weidemeyer's Admiral or Lorquin's Admiral.
ReplyDeleteI do not know but I sure do enjoy butterflies. Thanks for sharing and capturing a lovely photo. Have a great weekend. HUGS across the miles xo
