Yesterday we combined family business
with a special and personalized tour of the
restored Capitol building. My dad was
the architect for this Restoration project.
It was the cherry on top of his career.
It's a gorgeous building.

Cheers and enjoy this long sunny day!
Unless, of course, if you are living in the
Southern Hemisphere - then today is your
shortest day! Either way - have fun and smile!
Capital building looks great now!ReplyDelete
And your selfie was great as well.
Wow, you got spammed and then some.ReplyDelete
I love the capitol building. I didn't know your father was the architect for the restoration. Wow, that' impressive indeed.
Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs. :)
I have had an experience or two with disappearing Margherita Pizza! Love the selfie! The building looks great too!ReplyDelete
How fabulous to have a Dad involved in something so beautiful, Kathe!ReplyDelete
The one and only time I visited the state capitol was on a field trip in the fifth grade. I remember it being really exciting. I should plan another visit.ReplyDelete
I once loved a rotunda. And I think she had a soft spot for me, too. But it didn't work out. She found another. After that, I felt like one hand of a clock.ReplyDelete
That building looks amazing! Also, i like the shadows of the utensils in the first shot.ReplyDelete
How fun! Looks like a good time.ReplyDelete
Wow... what a great time.ReplyDelete
Hope you have had an awesome visit.
When I first moved to my husband's town, he showed the state capitol off to me. Then this previous year, I got to experience it again but through the eyes of my students. Most of them knew about the elevator and the view from the top, but not so much about the paintings and statues. Both visits were interesting experiences. :-)ReplyDelete
PS I love the photos of the disappearing Margherita Pizza and the selfie!
The selfie is my fave! ;)ReplyDelete
Looks like fun!!! Especially the empty pizza plates!!ReplyDelete
I think your disappearing pizza goes with my remnants of sopapilla! That rotunda is gorgeous. Here' to the Roman's for giving us that legacy!ReplyDelete
