Poetry Jam-What's Going on in Our House....

Almost silent
Brush on canvas creates a vision
A magic moment
Years ago before I met Russell he had stopped painting....
for many reasons.
Now that we've got our new home settled he has
picked up his brushes and has begun to paint again.
He has completed a painting for a friend and is now
creating another from a trip to Mexico ....
Another reason we included an Art Hall to our addition.

Russell finds the Art Hall is a perfect place
to paint- great light and peaceful.
He finished the painting of Charlie...

Charlie Okamura

Work in progress....a new painting being created.
This one is inspired by our many trips to Mexico.
Seeing him paint makes me so happy and I love
watching the process. It's magic!
Thanks to Peggy Goetz for this weeks Poetry Jam
and to Helen Dehner prodding me to post this!
Here's the link to Poetry Jam. Have fun writing and reading!

  7. I've often thought that painting was magical, and I'm glad Russell is back at it. Now if only I could motivate myself to pick up a brush.

  8. Beautiful and peaceful looking in this space. The painting is a beauty as well! Look forward to seeing other paintings to appear. Love and Blessings

  9. Congratulate him for me for picking up his brushes again! It's such an amazing thing to be able to look at a blank canvass and turn it into a lovely painting, he has my admiration.

  10. Oh my gosh that painting looks like real life :)

  11. What a blessing to have that amazing talent. Just beautiful. I love the
"art hall". So pretty and inviting.
