Six Word Saturday and Shadow Shot Sunday August 10-11, 2013

More Manzanita cleared...job well done!!

Three Tree Trail
This is only one example of all the clearing
and trails made during these past two weeks with
the help of our friend Elliot. He came down
for two weeks and did an awesome job along
with Russell.  They cleared out so much, made
wonderful meandering trails
and built enormous burn piles that will
be ignited once we have snow on the ground.

after the 30+ year old one died

Last but not least-
this is how dirty one gets
working in the woods!!!

Have a great weekend !!!

  1. Great job indeed and yes working out in the open gets one very, very dirty. Nothing a little soap and water won't cure though.

Have a fabulous weekend too. Big hugs. :)

  2. You are going to have some serious bonfires come cooler weather. It looks like it was a lot of hard work but the after picture is awesome. I am envious that you have enough properties that you can create trails.

Have a wonderful weekend and rest up from all you hard work.

  3. WoW! A lot of dirty work but looks great cleaned up!

Hope this direct link helps you bypass google+: http://abitosunshine.blogspot.com/2013/08/charity-for-sake-of-goodness.html

  4. Wow! They've earned a vacation! Excellent job.

  7. What a job. Love the picture of the feet with a different kind of farmer tan. Send us a signal with your winter fires.

  8. Good job! Enjoy the trails you've made. We will expect more pictures.

  9. The trails are a delightful invitation through your beautiful world. A great job.

  10. Oh, what a great job they did indeed and they do deserve a day off!! You will have some great bonfires!! Terrific post and photos!! Thanks for sharing!!

Very impressive work, indeed. I no longer have that kind of initiative, nor that much energy. Salute!

  12. A wonderful change from not navigable trail full of bramble to a path to commune with nature/ A great chore that allows you to truly enjoy the land!

  13. A job well done! Now take some time to rest and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    Happy Saturday!

  14. It was fun walking your path without actually getting covered with dust.

  15. Few things are more satisfying than the sight of other people working hard.

  16. Truly a great job. And it looks great.

  17. take it easy, it's weekend! :)

  18. the dirt creates a "shadow like" look to those feet. what a lot of work but it looks to be well worth the effort.
