2018 Photo Project
Photo #182
It has been very hot here and will continue
to be in the high 90's for another week.
This lovely doe has been hanging out with
us for about a week. She had a fawn with her,
but now we haven't seen it for several days.
We're afraid perhaps the coyotes or the
cougar may have gotten it as there have been
a lot of coyotes yipping nearby at night and
some folks have seen the cougar.
Makes me sad, but I know it's just part
of living out in the country.

The circle of life in the wild. It's brutal sometimes, but it is the survival of the fittest.
ReplyDeleteStay cool and have a fabulous Awww Monday. Big hug to you and Russell and tons of scritches to Miss Lucy. ♥♥♥
It is sad, but everyone has to eat.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your July!
It is sad but best when humans don't interfere.
ReplyDeleteShe’s beautiful, and i hope she’s young enough to be around with another fawn next year.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beauty.
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a sweet one!
ReplyDeleteIt's been unusually hot here in London too very muggy
ReplyDeleteThat doe looks like she is actually posing for the camera haha!
Have a posetastic day and keep cool :-)
Definitely an awesome deer photo and hope her little baby is still around ~

that doe is so beautiful! We have consistently been in the 90s here in Michigan too and we hate it. Oh......remember us? We never see you at all (wink) catchatwithcarenandcody
