Heroes!
We have been inundated with a lot of snow
these past few weeks and I am NOT complaining
as we have been in a drought the last 5 years.
Every day this past week my sweetie has put on his snow gear skipping even a cup of coffee and goes out to do
snow removal by plowing with the ATV and also
using the snow blower. No complaining or sniveling
he just goes out and does what needs to be done.
And that's just one reason why he's my hero!
It was sunny while we worked for four hours
doing snow removal. Russell plowed and
plowed and I shoveled and shoveled.
Eventually it all got done along with the
extraordinary help of two young volunteer
Hammond Ranch firefighters.
I had called the fire station to see if they knew of
folks who could help me dig out our deck.
(Russell was still plowing our very long driveway)
The overnight snowstorm had the deck buried under
2-3 feet of wet snow and I could not budge it.
Within an hour Jose and Alexander came over and
shoveled off the whole deck within 20 minutes!
WOW! They were rewarded by my making them
a big pizza...hot out of the oven ! Nice young men!
And they are my heroes also!
Thanks to Sandee for Awww Mondays! Cheers!
Good Morning Kathe and thank you for hosting !

I wold like to have one good snow this winter, but it looks like you have a little too much of a good thing. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteI kn ow how hard it is to remove lots of snow- they truly are heroes.
ReplyDeleteHooray for your heroes!
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome those two showed up to clear the deck. And that your husband goes out and works hard every morning. If I were closer, I'd shovel snow for pizza.
ReplyDeleteAwww. I love it when a team gets together and gets things done. It's also nice that you made them pizza. Looks like you all were part of the team.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Awww Monday. Big hug to you and Russell and lots of scritches for Miss Lucy. ♥♥♥
You're getting much more snow than we did here in Portland. I was glad to see it go.
ReplyDeleteI'm popping over for some LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a ploughtastic week :-)
Sounds like you live in a great community--and lucky you for having such a great hubby!
ReplyDeleteLovely snow photos, Kathe! As far as your question about sperm whales being vegetarian, I really don't know. I guess I will look it up. :)
