Lucy stretches out by the fire

 The other night I tried laying down by the fire

and sleeping like Lucy....I did fall asleep as

the heat made me completely comatose!

BUT I could not stretch myself out like she can.

I swear she grows longer ..... she's such a Yoga cat!

Saturday Six Words and Sunday Shadow Shots February 21-22, 2015

The Friday Meanderers take a hike.... 

 

 

We drove a little past Callahan-

got to Masterson Road where we

parked our cars and walked 4 or so miles ...

 

 

The first mile and a half was uphill....

is this really meandering we asked?

 

 

Eventually the road became easier as we

crossed the East Fork of the Scott River... 

 

 

Here's a wheelbarrow waiting for spring...

 

 

A well aged fence post

 

 

They call this mesa "Lovers Leap"

Eventually we got back to our cars and

headed to the Etna Brewery for

a splendid and well earned lunch!

It was a very fun day!

We went on an early morning hike

This little cutie lives in Venice, Italy!

 

 

Marcello is just a few months old!

 

I made this quilt for him...mailed it off to

his Grandmother in Arcata California

and she took it over to Venice

shortly before he was born!

Logging industry relic-

 great photo opportunity!

 

 

 

A few days ago we went by this "wigwam"-

Luckily I am married to a very patient man

as he nicely stopped the car so I could spend

a bit of time photographing the inside and outside

of this lumber industry relic.

 

 

As you can see I will be back by myself

to slowly spend time making more images.

I love old rusty machinery.

Especially ones that have such history.

We were over at our neighbors house for dinner....

and while clearing the table we spotted this little face....

 

 

If you look hard enough you can see their

calico cat ......she was on the outside

of the kitchen window asking to be let in for dinner!  

 

 

 

She's happy now....inside and getting a full tummy.
