Watering my vegetable garden comes first!
After the sun leaves our veggie garden
I am out there watering before dark.
That way the plants have enough time to
soak up the water before the next hot day!

Otherwise the sun zaps all the liquid.
ReplyDeleteIt's been pretty hot too. My sister does the same thing. Our water is on a timer and goes after dark.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
That is one big leaf in that picture! It looks like that plan is working!
ReplyDeleteI remember my parents doing the same thing when I was growing up.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
I also water in the evening to keep the water from evaporating before it can be useful to the plants.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you have a vegetable garden to water, Kathe.
ReplyDeleteWe only have ginger and we have it for the flowers and big leaf summer screen.
..
That plant looks healthy and like it's loving having you care for it.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is wonderful and obviously green leafy veggies are so good for us! Our potted tomatoes are starting to grow, the Romas shaping up nicely - the very fresh tomato, basil and mozzarella salad a couple of weeks away...served with a balsamic dressing. Can hardly wait :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you, your veggies and the environment!
ReplyDeleteEverything has a shadow. Even in how our garden grows.
ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shot for the day, Kathe, and I always watered in the evening and it did seem to work!! Hope your weekend is going well!
ReplyDeleteA healthy looking plant with a beautiful play of shadows. Vegies need special attention.
ReplyDeleteI like the feeling of mystery this photo invokes.
ReplyDeleteEcstatic Shadows
Not up to speed on either of those meme's will have to check them out. Seems every few years you hear a different story about what the best time to water is. Used to be morning before it got hot to help them through the day, then it was evening/dusk..then that was bad because it caused milddew and slugs, then it went to midday to cool the plants off, then I read it doesn't matter..lol my Dad Mr. Green Thumb...truly big time........says morning is still best. Hope your garden thrives.
