The Yellow Clown Magpie Tales #118

The Circus With the Yellow Clown, 1967, Marc Chagall
Oh my heart oh my head
My feet can't dance
They're made of lead
The girl in blue
She wants romance
Cowardly in yellow
I won't take a chance.

  2. One wonders if the clown remains the person nobody, least of all the 'girl in blue' takes seriously. One wonders at the politics of a circus 'family' and how they manage, living in such a closed group every day, moving around so opportunities for outside relationships are almost nil!
