Off I go into the wild blue yonder............

Well, I am back from sunny Colorado where I visited
my good friend Kit and my brother Paul.
I also got to see my sister Nina who was in the throes
of packing up to move back to New Hampshire!
First I spent a few days with Kit- I love staying at her
place as it's in a great neighborhood and
she has a great place for snappy shots....
Here's her bookcase with one of her WPA era paintings...
We went to the big REI so I could find some decent sandals-
the Platte River is right outside-
really high this year because they've had record
breaking rains this year....

Then I spent 5 days at my brother Paul's comfortable home-
Here we are resting comfortably after our Paella dinner....

then back to Kit's house for a bit before going home ....

Here's another shot of the Platte River-
more rain this year than the last ten years-
the lakes are actually full to the brim!

A shot of the Diagonal Road on the way to Boulder
where I met up with Kit- we went to the Ignite Boulder show-
hilarious and entertaining....

Here's one of the Power Point slides from Ignite Boulder-
these presenters tried to convince folks that
Colorado beer is like Napa wine....don't think so ...
The West Coast rules in brewing killer beers...

Finally- the 4th of July kickoff at the annual
Lake Oswego Lions Pancake Breakfast...yummy...
Everyone enjoys this breakfast!

and now all I have to do is pack for my big
camping trip with Doug and Peggy-we leave
Friday the 10th of July for 6 days at Hamma Hamma Cabin
near Hood Canal in Washington.... take a look:

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
