Magpie Tales #67

Banquet Scene with a Lute Player

by Nicolas Tournier, 1625

There was a young man from France

Who went to a banquet by chance

He said as he peered

Through a glass- "This is weird...

The lutist is wearing no pants."

Hey! Luckily I didn't do the usual this week... I had a giggle at this but as a musician (if for no other reason) th first line should read 'There was a young woman fron France' and course the third line must be adjusted to satisfy the gender police.

I know I read this when you posted. I have returned without a glass in my hand this time to ensure that I don't spit out wine all over the monitor and keyboard again!! Hilarious!
