I am so thankful for my sweet and caring husband.
We heard a bird hit our dining room window and
he went outside immediately and found the
little Chestnut Chickadee. He held it in his
hands for awhile and then brought it inside
so we could put it on the counter under
my kitchen strainer. It stayed there recovering
for a bit and then Russell took it outside and
it happily flew away!
Russell has done this many times even with
a large California Acorn Woodpecker!
That is so sweet! I'm glad the bird recovered well.
ReplyDeleteThat is one lucky bird.
ReplyDeleteHubby has done the very same thing. He's my hero like Russell is your hero. You made me smile.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Love and hugs all around. ♥
Can you hear me cheering and clapping with glee.
ReplyDeleteWTG Russel and what a great idea to put is under the strainer until it was able to get it's balance.
That a a very pretty bird.
Hugs Cecilia

ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet and wonderful thing, way to go Russell, you rock! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteIt happened quite often when we lived in our house with huge windows. The birds bumped into the glass and fell on the ground. We always had to hurry because of our 4 cats ! We put it on the top of our hedge and there it could recover safely !
