Thankful for our helpful squirrels!
Seriously- our little friends grab the acorns
I put by the little sculpture
and sometimes they eat them up and other times
they plant them- I keep hoping an Oak tree
will show up! The acorn is right in front of the sculpture....
See... the acorn disappeared!
While we were down in Weed CA I gathered
up a lot of acorns to see if I could get the acorns
to propagate up here.
Many thanks to Brian for Thankful Thursday!
Have a great day everyone!
Cheers!

I also think that squirrels are cute. Hopefully, you will find an oak seedling growing in your place. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy! I hope we get an Oak tree too!
DeleteHopefully they do. Our squirrels have planted pecan trees all over the place for us.
ReplyDeletewowee- that is cool to have pecan trees!
DeleteSquirrels are currently running around our yard preparing their stashes for winter.

Fun to watch I bet!
DeleteWhat a good idea, keep us posted on whether any little oaks show up. Our squirrels plant lots of Pecan trees here, which are nice if they don't sprout up in the flower beds.
ReplyDeleteCute seasonal photos of the squirrel ~ I don't encourage because they eat the bird seed ~ but your situation sounds fun and great photos ~ Xo

Carol- if you buy cayenne laced seeds the birds do not care, but the squirrels will not eat them!

ReplyDeleteThey are a fun bunch! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteIt's fun to see the squirrels, they are quite the entertainers! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Awww Little Bit! I bet she chased squirrels too! Hugs!
DeleteThey are cute. We ended up with hazelnut shrubs from them planting nuts.
ReplyDeleteooooh hazelnuts- we have them too! Our squirrels love them!
DeleteSquirrels are a barrel of fun, and yes, they keep forests growing because they don't always remember where they planted all of the acorns saved for winter.
ReplyDeleteMimi- that's their job- altho they do not know that! Hugs!
